I hate this time of year. It starts to get nice out and I can find a million and one things that I want to spend money on!

I need to redo the garden. Its such a mess its embarrassing. I have been working on the front part so that the neighbours don't have to deal with it, but the back part is just terrible. It would easily cost $500 to do everything, but I think I can eek it out for $250.

I want a bike. I want new patio furniture. I want to go back to school!

All these wants and no funds to fund them, lol.

So here I am, begging you ladies to TALK ME DOWN, lol.

Any ideas what I can do to make the yard look a little better for cheap? I need to fill in some holes that my dog dug. I can weed it and I don't have to worry too much about flowers because a lot of them are annuals. The grass is just

Ideas for making your garden look nice on the cheap

1 - ask your neighbours for extra plants. (I have perennials and usually have lots to share)

2 use unusual items to decorate -
I have a large white vase that was given to me because of a large crack up one side and I just laid it down in my flower garden and planted some ivy in it.
I have seen old childrens trikes used as lawn decor as well. Put flower pots on the seat and the back step part.

I'm sure there are others that will have a lot more ideas for you.

I always use the windows in the office for the east sun light for most of my tubers & bulbs.
