I called NFCC

They said the first step is just sending us an information packet, so I gave our address and that was the extent of the conversation. I was actually kind of glad that it was an easy conversation and that DH and I can go over the info together.

We talked more about moving in with my mother for a year and I think we may do that.

I'm happy that we're taking steps to get back on track, but I still feel overwhelmed. Thanks again for everybody's support and advice yesterday. It's nice to know that I'm not alone in this.

Hi.
Did they take all of your information regarding your debts, etc.? When I first looked into it, I did everything on line they play with the numbers, see what the companies will accept as a new interest rate and monthly payment and then put it all into a packet. If you call them back, they can probably tell you how to go about looking at everything online.
Good for you for taking this very hard step.
