My husband's 15 year-old car was acting "funny" so he took it to our mechanic yesterday.

Definately does sound like a blessing ! Wishing I could do that for me and my DH but I would feel weird without a car to tote my kids to and from the grocery store and such on days my DH works.

I am glad you two are able to work things out so you can manage with the one car. Way to go !

I am pretty envious. At this point there is no way DH can I could have 1 car. He works shifts, and I use my car for my job. But, if I could I would. I would absolutely love to rid our household of that money-sucking expense!

We have always had one car. Be silly for us to have two since I can't drive. Tried learning a few times never could get the hang of it. Made me to scared. We have done fine for 40 odd years just having one car.

You just got to arrange things different sometimes. Raymond worked a lot of 3-11 shifts when he worked and we would go
