This year has been a killer year for end of school trips. My oldest (12) is going camping for 3 days @160( we got sponsered so we now only have to pay $50!), my other son is going to mid evil times @ 25( was 40 but the class raised money), small trips @ $8 ( atleast 4), Composer in the class room was $20 but they waived the fee for us and my 2 youngest boys have

That does sound costly! Hope you can work those trips into your budget.

My son had a small outing at school (only cost us $5) but I said to my Dh that I was a little irritated by even that. I paid $850 for him to go to the park district preschool for the year. I shouldn't have to shell out any more than that. They had some fun bus come for the kids and each kid had to pay $5.

There was no way while all the other kids went on the fun bus you can have your kid sit and watch. So you basically "have" to pay. Stuff like that irritates me.

Sorry - got on a rant of my own there.

I've been to midevil times. Fun!
