I am thrilled. My pay this pay period was about $60 higher then normal. I knew they were going to adjust the paychecks, I just didn't know when. But even better, I got a letter today with my backpay cheque! The Grand Total was $1750!!!! I'm so excited.
It was in my account for all of 15 minutes, lol. Here is what I did with it (roughly- I have to wait for it to clear before I can give exact numbers, although I did transfer to the efund right away!).
$300 to fully fund efund - Done 5 minutes ago! Yay! I haven't had it at $1000 since September
$400 to pay back borrowed money from Dad - I was just going to deduct it from what he owes me, but he is struggling so I wrote a check. I think the money is owes me is going to be a write off.
$500 put aside to fund my next course. It starts in a few weeks and so I want to pay cash rather then rely on the CC's. This puts me ahead of the game giving me another two months before I have to pay for the fourth, hopefully cash as well.
$550 to CC's. This will bring me just above $2900. Its still high, but with the efund and the reserve for school (and hopefully the pay increase in the next few weeks) I should really be able to target it now. What a great way to start the long weekend!

Very nice plan with the cash girl! Hope you are not in as much pain with the knee.
whooooooooooooot whooooooooooooooooo for Retro!!!
Congrats - think about how great it will be to have an extra $60 in your paychecking each week to use for budgeting! Awesome snowflake!!!
My DH is waiting for his union to figure out what their doing and sign a contract. When he does he is due for OVER TWO YEARS of retro-pay. We expect a $6-9,000 check when it comes. I can't WAIT! I keep thinking the longer we wait - the more money we get. Still, I can't wait until that comes our way!
Bex, that's fabulous!

Good job disbursing the money, Bex!!
