Mary Ann, I have 4 Chase cards and they all charge 2% of the balance.

2.99 is a pretty good offer.

I did some figuring on the offer and what I am now paying in payments and interest and I figured out I would do just as good staying with what I have now and not pay the fee.

Plus the payment on Chase normal payment that is would be around 20.00 more a month then what I am paying now.

Sometimes you just got to look twice before you jump.

I'm glad you settled that.

Just wanted to chime in regarding Chase.

The chase offer would have saved me a total of 14.57 to start in interest a month but because the payment is 2% of the balance and two of the cards I was going to consolidate is less then a 2% of the balance our payment would have went up by 22.00 a month without any snowflaking.

Chase just bumped up the interest rate of a 2.9% offer I got only 6 months ago, to 14.99.

My Chase card gave me the same offer this month, too: skip a payment. I do not intend to do that but I guess it's nice to know you can skip a payment if you really needed to.
