We are making headway on reducing our credit card bills.

Since our debt journey first began we have done SO many different things.

Our kids used to drink capri sun juice boxes like they were going out of style - we now make a pitcher of koolaid and they get glasses. We do buy capri sun's for the occasional time we pack a lunch for the park but its very rare now.

We buy generic. If it comes in generic - we almost always buy it. (except my clorox wipes - LOVE those.)

Pack a lunch. Pack snacks.

Cut out our Hinckly Springs water service and drink tap water. This has saved us over $50 a month too.

Not wasting food is a big one. If I see something in the fridge that is going bad I get upset. Your groceries go so much farther with left overs! Yes, tap water, and the kids need to drink it too. Yes to milk and juice at meal times but if you are thirsty, drink water!!

LOL I don't buy things for me that need ironing and I have always ironed my bf's work shirts. It is not convenient for us to drive to pick up dry cleaning as we live rurally.

Also, I really examine and decide a need from a want. I'm sure that has saved me a ton!

Like galstorelady, I too have given up bottled water and only drink tap water now.

I buy off the sales rack in stores. H&M had summer clothes on clearance for my kids for $2 a piece this week. Our thrift stores keep upping prices and now a pair of kids pants are $7-$15:( We stock up on things that we need when there is a good sale. We buy the kids new/used VHS tapes because we don't have cable and usually under a $1. We walk alot to save gas $$ and we visit free/cheap local activities we live near a 5 cents a ride carousel,we walk trails, take the kids to near by fishing holes, pubic splash pads, beaches. we stopped going to the drive in and rarely go to the movies now.
