That is a excellent way to go, and it saved us $630 this year.

Values in Michigan have been going down for the last three years and there has been a revolt to get property taxes lowered.

Norma there is a woman that put up a request to talk to you over on the debt board. You might want to check it out.

Our house is only about 10,000 under what we are paying or less So Raymond said we are not going to do anything about ours We did get a handicap exception on our taxes that saved us around 25.00 a month. So he is going to let it be for now.

Don't thank me thank Robyn. She is the one that put on the board about the disability clause. You know her husband is disabled. I just picked it up from her and had Raymond to file.

Raymond did know about the 65 year old discount for homeowners but not the disabled part of the law.

In Kentucky it is 35,000 off the tax bill apprasial amount. That put about 24.00 something into our pocket a month.

Raymond says it wouldn't do us any good to fight the appraisal amount because is isn't that much really no more then 10,000 if it is that much. Our house was pretty cheap to start with. So we are not going to do it. But there are some on the board that say they have lost at least 30% of the value of their homes and for them it might help some

Mother always said a 1.00 saved is a dollar in your pocket. I never think of hundreds of dollars. I am happy with a few 10.00.
