Its been pretty quiet here lately

Hey ladies,

What is going on with everyone lately? The board has been pretty quiet.

I am frustrated my debt is not going very fast. And, after a few calculations, next month may be slower still. July might be more, I'm not sure yet.

But, I am still working at my store, trying to build equity and pay down personal debt with my salary.

I am going to make a concentrated effort to enjoy the summer and obsess less about debt and money.

How about you?

I've been lurking lately because I have nothing good to say. I haven't been doing well with my debt at all lately. In fact, I haven't even made my agreed upon debt payments in 2 months because I got behind on my mortgage. My money situation has just sucked lately and I'm trying to get back on track. It's so hard!

I, too, am frustrated that my debt totals aren't going down as quickly as I'd like.

I am currently re-reading Dave Ramsey's "Total Money Makeover" in hopes that it will generate some enthusiasm.

I'm here, just worn out and stressed. I'm worried that we may not get everything lined up to move this summer as we had hoped. I really don't want to spend another year in Wisconsin, but its looking like it may be happening that way anyway. One more househunting trip, and then my husband needs to have a job lined up out there to make the move possible. I really, really want to buy a house this year...I need the space, and we want to take advantage of the tax credit, too.\

This pregnancy seems really, really long. i haven't been able to start getting much of anything because we don't want to have to move everything, in case we do end up moving. third shift is killer, too...I'm not sleeping very well.

But really, money-wise, I have no complaints. I am just bored and tired and impatient.

You guys will all do it. Just take your time and remember how you did at the start of all this stuff.

I wish mine would get paid off for a lot of personal reasons. I did some re-figuring the other day and came out with August

I've noticed a lot less threads being started or commented on.

I've been down lately and my DH is out of work which will make things really hard very soon. I hope something comes up. Debt repayment will be on back burner for sure. I think I will be able to getsome extra time at work but it won't cover everything.

Oh well that's life!

Well I'm still here, plugging away at debt. But the downside to this is that my husband had to take his 2 weeks of vacation by force or we wouldn't get paid for the last 2 weeks. They just had no work for him. He goes back the 2nd of June and hopefully I can stash more away at the efund rather than the debt to hopefully avoid another "forced vacation".

I'm really close to paying off one of our cars, so that's the bright spot in a gloomy time for us. I've also noticed that people haven't been posting much lately, it might be the weather, depressed about things, etc. I hope this board gets moving again.

I haven't felt like posting because I feel like I am at a standstill right now.

Haven't been too active as my grandbaby is here visiting so haven't been on the computer much, and my budget is being stretched a bit with the extra expenses.
But have been reading the new posts. Hopefully will get back on track with my debt repayment once life gets back to normal. No holidays here this year, but maybe a stay-cation where I unplug the phones and doorbell. lol.

I've been lurking too. I am actually doing pretty good with my debt repayment. It's not going as fast as I would like. But it's steady and I should meet my goals as I plan. I find that since paying of my credit cards, I worry much less.

Also, I have been trying to not get too wrapped up in the economy as it gets me worried. At this time, DH and I are both pretty secure in our jobs. We are building an emergency fund and debts are getting paid off.

So, in the past when I worried I would come on here, or on Gail's blog (Till Debt Do Us Part)and regain focus. Now when I worry, I refocus.

I still come on to see how others are doing. It keeps me grounded, too.
