Let's keep our fingers crossed that the extended warranty we paid for kicks in.
I hope I did it correctly but I don't *remember* calling to register it or anything.

I'm sorry to hear about the dishwasher Becky, I hope everything is covered under your extended warranty.
I have admit, when the oven door broke off yesterday, I silently prayed that DH couldn't get it fixed so we'd have to go pick out a new one. I hate the one that came with the house, its old, it doesn't heat properly, etc. and i know a newer one would be so much more energy efficient also. But alas, he got it fixed, after a lot of cursing. Oh well...
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, Becky, that the warranty covers whatever is wrong.
I DID actually kick it at one point

Have you tried cleaning out the garbage trap (I don't know what its actually called). The part that collects all the old food bits. Ours started to not clean the dishes and sure enough, that was the problem (I don't think anyone ever cleaned it out before I got there . . . ewwwww).
I have no idea why that impacts how clean the dishes get, but it seems to?
Regardless, I hope you get it sorted out. I couldn't function without my dishwasher!

The oven we had in the first house we rented when we moved to Texas didn't stop heating, I finally figured it out after burning stuff for about 2 weeks straight and bought a temp guage so I could at least figure some things out.
Caution, a lot of warranties are pro-rated.
