I took about 90 minutes yesterday and filed all my un-filed bank and cc statements.

All my best,

I bet it feels good to have it all organized. I wish I had a bit of this ostrich mentality to be honest. I tend to be the opposite and obsess over the balances and papers. There should be a happy medium somewhere?? It is not good to be too much one way or the other. I am learning that both hurt your head and heart after awhile.

I can totally relate because I go through phases where I'm highly obsessive and then I have an ignoring stage! I think it depends on how much money is in the bank because if I have the money to cover things, I obsess over balances and if I have no money, then I ignore. ANd as far as systems go...I have thrown away certain papers that I WISH I still had, and yet I have other papers that I have never used and probably never will! I don't keep anything that I can get online anymore. All of my statements are online any tiime I need them. Hopefully I'm doing the right thing!

I'm so glad you have the commitment to keep things organized. I'm guilty of several head-in-the-sand episodes over the years, and it always feels so much better to get it all out there and face it. Worrying about what I'm missing is way worse than KNOWING!

Good luck! I'm going to take your cue and get through some of those old boxes of mail I didn't keep up with. =c)
