Hello, I am new to this site. I read all you guys advice and I feel maybe
I don't have much advice. We went through a debt settlement company and I wish we would have found a different way now that it's all done. Even though we have very little debt now, our credit is in the poor category because of our settlements. But you're situation seems dire. Debt settlement may work for you. Have you tried to get a book on handling credit card companies? Oprah had this show and she had financial guru's show people how to talk to credit card companies to get their rate lowered. You have to know who to talk to and what to say. I wish I would have researched doing the debt settlement thing myself first before having a company do it for me. I originally had 4 credit cards and I only ended up settling one of them through the debt settlement company. The others I settled myself after my accounts were given to lawyers and the pressure was intense!
Good luck! And I know it's so stressful, but you have to try to find ways to deal with the stress. You should see how many gray hairs I have after 4 years of this!
Hello, and welcome! I'm not much help, but I can relate. Our regular income doesn't cover the regular expenses so we do random and side work to make ends meet. The secret to my success is by living like we're always on our last dime - sometimes we are and sometimes we aren't anywhere near it, but if we don't live that way it will all be true soon enough.
Someone will surely chime in with some good ideas and advice for you. In the meantime, check out the thread with helpful ideas at the bottom of the board if you haven't already done so: http://messageboards.ivillage.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=iv-mlsupport&msg=21607.1&ctx=0
Good luck!

Not sure if this link will help you or not but since at least part of your debt is due to your son's autism maybe there are ways to get help with the bills that the insurance doesn't cover: http://fundingautismtreatment.googlepages.com/
Hopefully there is something listed here that you weren't aware of and that can help you.
Your son should be able to get his speech theropy and occupational theropy for the SID through the public school system.
I don't know where you live. You didn't fill out your profile. But I am in Louisville Kentucky UofL here has an outstanding program for children with Autism
