Something I'm proud of . . .

We seem to be stressed around here the last few days (myself included!) and so I thought I would like to take a break and invite everyone to share one (or more) things that they are proud of. It can be money related or non-money related!
I'll start:
I am proud that:
1) I completed a undergraduate and masters degree on my own (working and loans)
2) By age 26 I had a stable, secure job and was able to buy my own home
3) After years of telling myself that "I'm just not a runner" I have completed one 10k and 2 5k races this year (next 5 k on Saturday!)
4) Even though I've been stalling lately, I have paid off over $9000k worth of CC debt and I am determined to get rid of the rest!
What about you? What are you proud of?

1. Completed my bachelor's degree two months after I turned 21 (OK, my parents paid for it), did both my master's degrees while working full-time. Paid off the student loan for the first one in less than three years, working on the loan for the second one and on track to pay it off in five years.
2. Still fit into some of the clothes I bought when I was in college almost twenty years ago. Some are getting a tad tight, working on getting back in shape and dropped three pounds so far. Nine more to go.
3. I have worked in every single continent except Antarctica.

Lol Marie I'm jealous you can fit into your college clothes . . . I am working to get back into mine (and we're only talking 5 years ago I graduated from Undergrad!)
My little runner has been stalled at 6 lbs! I keep gaining and losing the same 2 lbs! I decided enough is enough and today, I rode my bike into work (and hour each way).

1- Frankly, not losing my mind over the past six weeks. Compensating for a 4k bill without time to plan really bites.
2- I've written my way to the halfway point of my novel. I'm getting wonderful feedback from friends AND strangers, and I'm excited! I'm growing through the process, and my second novel is already niggling into my brain. I'll be looking for an agent and a publisher by the fall!
3- Not letting my son down. In spite of all the money we're short this month, he's getting his birthday dinner with mommy and daddy at the restaurant of his choice tomorrow, and then he's going shopping. Birthdays are the only time all year my kids get to buy stuff at the stores, and there's no way I'm taking that from my not-so-little-anymore guy on his big day!

Good thread:
1.
Sometimes I need to remind myself that I am doing ok, in fact probably better than ok.
1. I paid off a $30,000 personal line of credit in 14 months.
2. I have an emergency fund for my store that gives me peace of mind.
3. I own land(its mortgaged but better than living in an apartment!!)and we(bf) are building equity in it.
4. I have purchased a business I am building equity in. The Land and building loan when I bought it was at $35,000 and now is at $16427. I have also gotten the accounting, visa, taxes and gst caught up and paid bills that were behind.
5. We have a new car that I never would have qualified to buy a year ago on my own(I think I could now though!!)
6. I have a positive net worth and a really good credit rating in my own name.
7. I found myself an amazing bf (he is really good to me) that has paid off $10,000 in student loans in one year.
8. I have faced adversity, (being broken into, a crappy divorce) and come out with my head up high and lots to look forward to.
Admittedly many years ago, but when I started driving air freight for my father, I was one of ONLY two women in our city who drove any kind of truck!!(admittedly it was an econoline van but a step van or truck would have made life much easier! We took freight up to 300 pounds which WE had to get up into the truck ourselves. We could not just back up to a dock and wheel freight into it!
What a great post. We do need to rememer the good stuff.
I am proud and excited to be starting a graudate program in the fall.
I am proud and content to have a happy marriage - 8 years this July.
I am proud and happy to have a close-knit family who actually likes each other!
I am proud and happy to be a cancer suvivor and a diabetes conquerer (meaning I manage it well)
I am very happy to have met everyone on this board who offers support and encouragement!

What can I say, I have good genes! ;-) Both my parents are super skinny, so I have an unfair advantage to begin with.
I remember you were on South Beach, right? I was stuck, too, a few weeks ago and started incorporating some of the guidelines from the Abs Diet. They helped me after three weeks of plateau, especially useful is the part about protein and weight training. It used to be fairly easy for me to drop five pounds, but the slower metabolism due to old age (ha!) and the oral contraceptives have made things more difficult.
Two hours of bike ride should make a difference. Oh, and I won't be too obsessed about weight, work on your dress size because I am sure you already knew, muscles weight more than fat.
