Yes I have a few of those worries.....

School supplies at the end of summer. And School clothes, the boys are really hard on clothes and shoes. And I would like to do a small outing with the kids I have not saved for not to mention a small one with my bf and I.............

Oh yeah, and college for the kids in a few years, and curling fees and my bfs engineering fees in the fall, yada, yada, yada

Suggestions? Norma, my only suggestion is to find something to do for money under the table in your situation. Or, barter for services. Is there anyone in the construction business you could barter with to have the tree removed for accounting or secretary skills? Gardening skills? Start dropping word of mouth hints. You never know.

Yes it has been bad here to. First storm cost me 350.00 to trim off a bunch of branches off of trees and have them hauled away. Second time one of the branches fell over a power line that was another 550.00 because of the power line. Our insurance company paid for the broken fence and any damage done to the garage the tree fell on but would not pay for the tree removal. Isn't that silly.

As far as the roof goes. Think September. Building season is about over Winter has not started yet. Talk on the side to some of the sub roofers that work for the company you work for. Ask them if they can put on a roof under the table and on weekends when they are not working. You might find a guy that is in need of extra money you can get cheap. Them subs love to get some free Christmas money. We did that a few times in North Carolina. Oh another thing they always have extra material from jobs. The key to that is getting all the same color sometimes. Pick a color and just have them let you haul the bunches away at the end of the job and store them at your house until you get enough. Subs will do anything under the table most of the times if you talk to them on the side.
If the colors are a little off like different shades of gray if you mix them it really looks nice in the end. Kind of like different colors of tiles. I have done that before. Got a 3,000.00 roof for like 500.00 that way. I am the cheapest person in the world when it comes to houses.

Check out a couple of dentist. May cost you 30.00 a visit Take your own xrays around that your insurance paid for. Dentists do charge different fees. Watch where their offices are. I found out this fact with all my teeth work the higher the rent on the office the higher the fees the dentist charges. I find that really funny but around here so true. Also my old dentist if I paid her hard cash She would give me a 5% off the bill if she didn't have to put the bill through a credit card. Ask if you get a 5% discount even with the insurance paying part of the bill. Can't blame a girl for asking all they can do is say no. Some of them say they will take payments but all they do is put you on a credit card for dentist at 18% interest watch that one.
Ask if they are going to carry the balance at the office or do that job on you. Many are doing that around here now.

Norma don't panic out. You will make it happen.

Sorry I don't have anymore suggestions except for the mammogram/ultrasound. I work as an Mammogram Tech, in Rhode Island the Department of Health has a free womens cancer screening program which will pay for one screening mammogram per year. If after you have that screening mammogram you get called back for additional workup (ie: ultrasound, additional views) I do believe that is also covered by the cancer screening program. No cost to you. I would definately check with your state to see if they have a program like this. Many people don't know about these kind of programs.
Another thing, can you qualify for a Rite Care program? If you make under a certain amount each year, depending on what your income is you can qualify for a Rite Care Health Insurance which pretty mmuch everything is paid for.
Good Luck. I know it can get very stressful

When don't I go through these panic attacks, lol.

In my case the fact that the CC debt is going the wrong way is killing me. But I've made a commitment to myself that this is it. Its out of the CC.

I worry about the house mostly (what if something goes wrong, how will I deal with it) and how low my savings are. I have my little baby efund but in reality, if something major were to happen, that won't do much.

Oh well, I'll just keep on keeping on!

(((Norma))),

I used to panic. Not so much anymore, because DH finally got it in my head that there's no point to it. Now I struggle to walk the line between coming up with solutions and worrying, and the other one between doing what I can for my self and trusting God with it whole-heartedly. Beautiful things happen so often for us that I'm finding the joy of trusting to be one of its greatest rewards.

I don't have any suggestions you haven't already heard, but I wanted to offer a few (((hugs))).

You replies have inspired me, at least for today, to approach things WHEN they happen, not IF they happen.
