Depressed over my junky car!

I need a more reliable car! But I have no money and no credit! So here I am in a 2001 Toyota Corolla, which could be worse! BUT...it goes through oil like a sieve(I put in a quart every week and most of the times I forget and by the time 2 weeks rolls around, my oil is empty!) It needs a new catalytic converter, which makes it drive horribly and buck and it revs like it's out of gear...very strange! Overall, I just don't have any confidence in my car. The reason why I'm complaining is that I have a chance to go to a museum tomorrow for free in Vermont. It's an hour and a half drive and it looks awesome, BUT I don't trust my car.

Sad!

If it makes you feel any better, I drive a 1995 Toyota Corolla.

yep, my car is a 98 Ford Contour that my father told me two years ago that it would die soon, well I'm still driving it..and it has 170K miles on it and actually nothing wrong with it.
