Well it has been an up and down one this last week or so.
UP: I am making at least $1k a month extra from teaching and I will have another CC paid off by the 9th. I am about on track for my six month goals.
Down: DH was upset I was hardly home last week in the evenings and we had to change some vacation plans so I can teach on Tuesdays through July and August. But he also sees the debt going down, and I am really helping with our food costs and his bills are less now with the help.
All Around: I have this huge want list! This weekend I heard a rumor that they guy with the house I love on our lake up north, where our little 600 sq ft cabin is, might want to sell. His "cabin" is a beautiful A frame on the water with a stone fireplace and separate garage on 6 acres. I don't have anywhere near a down payment saved (unless you count the $600 in my Baby E-Fund.) And of course the rates are low right now, and the price would probably be pretty low considering where it would have been a couple years ago (Michigan.) My credit is also pretty good as my Ex finally sold the rentals we had and they are off my credit report. It is just about 2 years too early!

Wow Marie you are one busy lady! Congrats on getting the debt down though. Its a great feeling to see the results of your hard work.
I had to smile when I read the comment about 2 years too early. BF and I found a piece of land for sale about 35 minutes outside the city (35 acres!) In a perfect world we would have bought that, built a cabin and eventually put a house there. But given the CC debt (his worse then mine) its a little too early. The good news is this finally made him realize that if he didn't have any CC debt then we could have easily affored the property. So I guess thank goodness for small things?

Such a busy lady! I hear you on the wants. My bf and I are starting to save to build a new house. It really is going to be a struggle as we already have a mortgage for our land. Things will fall into place eventually. He has student loans and now we have a car payment so that really does cut into our ability to save. But save we will, a hundred or two a month. Once our car is paid off and the student loans gone it will seem like we have so much money! We will likely need to replace the other vehicle in there though and I'm saving for my kids education. Oh its always something! I need 3-5 years(as planned)......then watch me move on those wants!!
