It could be worse I guess.

My debt was discharged a year and a half ago.

For me, it has been a good decision and I don't find rebuilding too difficult.

hi, we filed a few years back and i was all worked up about court...well don't, they ask you a few questions and look over your paperwork, and then hit the gavel. I was nervous because our lawyer never showed up. But we were fine, we even had our 6 month old son with us because we didn't have a sitter. A few months after we got some credit card apps, but didn't bite on them. We were told that a small personal loan with a bank or credit union was the best way to rebuild, so that is what we did. We now have a credit scor in the 660's and we still haven't did a new car loan or anything, but why...our cars are treating us good "Knocking on wood". It will be fine ((Hugs))

We filed the year after our son was born. (1994)

To be perfectly honest, we would have been so much better off if we had filed sooner.
