I was reading this article about stress from debt making some people overweight.

So it got me wondering, what do you do

Like the rest of you, I eat chocolate (my favourite stress food is Hagen Daaz Rocky Road ice cream) and, like Sharon, I obsessively crunch numbers.

I have heard about this ambien. I likely should take some of that for sleeping! I tend to over eat(which I am actually NOT doing right now) and recalculate my numbers over and over again as if that will make it better some how?? When I get closer to the end of the month..all bets are off. I likely will be eating and drinking too much. I know my credit line for the store will be sky high!!

Go for a run or to the gym (dr prescribed)

I lost 30 pounds this year, hehe.

I hope this doesn't come off as harsh or cruel or insensitive, but when I'm stressing about debt and finances, I'm grateful that we do not have children.

I am not implying that a child is the source of debt, only that when

Is all of the above an option, lol.

I obsessively go over the numbers and try to find somewhere that I can add a dollar here or there. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I am trying to exercise more when I am stressed. Its been a week and its slowly working. During those times I can just zone out and daydream about what life will be like

Your comments aren't offensive to me at all. I often realize when I'm freaking out about money that if I didn't have kids I'd be a little less panicky about the debt, if I was even this far in debt without them. It's not my life or future I worry about ruining because I can't afford to move to a better neighborhood, pay for summer camp, find better doctors/schools, have better childcare ... Plus, I realize that the being freaked out would be more allowable if I didn't have kids - not a good thing for kiddos to see you crying over bills. So, while I love my kids dearly, I totally get what you mean!
