car dealerships. Today I have to bring my car in for service to check a splash sheild that had fallen off the bottom of my car. The service guy calls me and tells me that it will cost $150 to be replaced. I told the guy that I will be in to pick my car up just put everything back together I am not paying $150 right now.
So I get to the service desk to get my keys, the service advisor states " I got you a great deal on that sheild", at first I almost flipped my lid after I told them I wan't going to do it. But the guys gave me the sheild for no charge! No charge for labor or anything. I couldn't believe it. I asked why they did that and he just said because I was a dedicated customer. I am still in shock!

Wow!
That's good customer service... and strategy... incentive for you to go back for future service.
Very nice. It is rare for me that things like this happen. Usually I go and it is twice or three times what they said it was going to be originally. Glad you got the nice surprise!

Glad to hear you got a great deal on it. I wonder if they had it replaced already when they called you and it was cheaper and easier to give it you as good will than to remove it and put back your old one? The good will they get from this will most likely far out weigh what they paid for the item.

who just spent time & $$ at the car dealer to get the door handle fixed on my car only to find out now I have this most horrid scratching squeaking noise when i open the window, so will have to take it back in again to have that fixed. And as the noise wasn't there before they repaired the door it had better not cost any extra.
