Why can't I do this????

I am getting so aggrevated with myself. I just can't get my finances into check. I am currently repaying my debts thru CCCS and that is going fine, but I still don't have money at the end of each week or month. I have no savings anymore WHAT SO EVER!!!
I added up all of my Dunkin Donuts purchases for the past month and I am so disgusted with myself for that. I really need to stop spending money on coffee every morning. Is it just laziness on my part? How does everyone do it?

don't do it all at one time. Use cash and one day a week start taking a cold drink or coffee from home. Take what you would have spent and put the cash in your change jar.
Then the next month make it two days a week.
Then the next month make it three days a week. And have
BF used to be THE WORST for this. We are talking $8-10 a day in coffee and scones! It drove me batty!
So I bought him a coffee maker with timer and a travel mug. At night when I am making lunches for the next day, I set the coffee maker so that when he gets up, its ready. Throws it in the travel mug and voila. Now it is an initial expense, and he only buys the expensive coffee beans, but it still saves a TON in the long run! And he likes it better because he says the coffee tastes better from home then from a store!
I think the trick is having it already made when you get up. Then it kinda feels like take out . . . maybe??? lol

Man - I wish I could tell you the coffee thing is easy. DH and I basically invested in a crazy expensive espresso machine that is fun to use and makes the *best* coffee and espresso. Now, if we get coffee out, we think, meh - it's better at home. That came at an admittedly ridiculous price. Some day it will pay for itself, I'm sure.
Baby steps. Try cutting back to 3 days a week for a couple of months. See how that works. All or nothing (you go or you never, ever go) rarely works.

I made a promise to myself that I will start next week. I am going to brew some coffee this weekend and put it in the fridge for ice coffee, and I am only giving myself $10/week from now on. If I choose to spend it on coffee then once that $10 is gone...well I am SOL on the coffee.
