Where won't you cut back?

We all know the economy is in the toilet at the moment. We're bombarded with reminders every time we turn on the news or surf the news sites.

Most of us here on the board are struggling to either make ends meet or stay afloat.

That said, is there an area of your life where you will not cut back? For example, do you insist on organic produce or meat? Do you always buy your vehicles new? Are you a latest gadgets guru? Where (if anywhere) do you choose not to cut back?

I won't cut back on the type of milk that we buy, I only drink soy milk and so far only have one brand that I will drink. Hubby also has his brand preference for regular milk. I will pay a bit more just to make sure that it won't get wasted.

I hope that I never have to cut back on drinking Coke - and I have to have the real thing.

- I won't cancel the daily newspaper. It's only $20 a month, delivered right to my door.

- I won't give up my cup of coffee from the cafeteria on workdays. It's less than a dollar and tastes so much better than anything I make at home on the weekend.

I won't give up eating well. I probably spend more then I should on food, but if I don't have things I want to eat at home, I end up just eating out which helps no one (especially my waist line!!!).

I won't give up my interest classes either. I love learning new things and feel it keeps me well rounded! Last week was Christmas Card making. In September its Boot(y) Camp lol (its a boot camp aimed at women).

Our entertainment, which consist of cable tv with a package that contains a little more than the standard channels, but not movie channels. We do not go any where on the weekends, so this is our reward to ourselves.

The only area I won't cut back is in buying toilet paper and coffee.

For us I would say coffee and television.

We buy Stumptown coffee and every time we try to switch, we're horribly disappointed and end up sneaking coffee at local cafes instead. We've decided why switch?

I don't know what I did before DVR, so I won't give that up. We ditched the premium channels and I don't miss them, but I love having lots of channels to choose from, season passes, etc. I watch television at odd hours, and it's great to have shows queued up and ready for me.

Sometimes for us, a Friday night "out" is really a Friday night in watching queued up shows and eating pizza we cook on our bbq. It's great!
