Till the bitter end.....

I just feel scr$wed by my c/c company till the bitter end....

Last month my husband got a large retro check for three years of backpay that his union just signed a contract on. We paid off our large credit card in the amount of $8,400. Got the bill, wrote the check THAT DAY and sent it out THAT DAY. The company cashed the check a few days later.

Just got our statement in the mail Saturday....should say $0 right? NOPE. They hit us with $34 in interest / finance charge and when I called today they told me that's from the closing date of the past month to when they cashed our check. I am so sick of them.

I know in the grand scheme of things - we paid off $21,000 on that card- what's another $34. It's just the point of it all I guess. I wrote the check today (cuz the lady was clearly NOT going to waive the fee) and I mailed it. We are SO done with them.

One final c/c to go and its got $1,700 on it. We will have that paid off soon but might not be before xmas because we are looking at a cash basis xmas. So, instead of throwing all our xtra $$ on that final $1,700 I will pay a few hundred a month and leave us money for xmas gifts.

I'm just so annoyed. I want to be DONE paying debts!!!!!!

Visa did the same to me when I moved 10k off their high interest card. 165 bucks for % on statement from previous month.

A nice opportunity for them to give you a kick in the A$$ even when you think you escaped the chains.

keep going, good job!

Sounds about right because of the daily accrual basis for the interest. Not saying it doesn't suck. But Beeps you are done with them. Won't it be nice to earn interest on your money instead of paying it! Oh I'm so excited for that day!

Up on onwards!!

Well just think you are done with them. You will never give them another penny of your hard earned money again! Just knowing that should make you feel a little better!
