My vote says put it in a slush fund with the intention of if it is not used, applying it to the appliances.

I have been on this journey a while, and have tried different debt reduction methods in the past, but I think the basics are still sound.

The efund is key and you know this. Perhaps your efund needs to be more than $1000? If you have the $1000 already, decide if you need to build it to $1500 or not. If not, put it on the debt so it has purpose. You will flip it too many times in a year to be put toward the next course, unless you put it somewhere you cannot touch it. Go with what works for you Bex.

Thanks ladies! I appreciate the thoughts!

Yes, my stress levels are down immensely. Its amazing how much better I feel. I was starting to resent the course itself and hate going (never good!).

So, I shall keep the $360 aside for now and see where it needs to be, lol. I had a higher then expected paycheck today so I was able to put $200 on the appliances (rather then the $75 budgeted!!) and will likely be able to do the same (or similar) next pay!

Its such a good feeling to have some wiggle room!

Oh and I am taking your advice and going to get my little efund up to $2000 for my own sanity. I think I will do it the way I got it to $1000 though . . . a few dollars at a time so I don't miss it!

I am late on this one. See if you can find a hi paying cd somewhere for 6 months and get that. I know you got saving by now. That way it will earn a lot more then a simple saving account then when it comes due you will have extra to pay for school or something else you want.
