I would like it to be frugal........however, I don't know about that. I just got a call from a girlfriend and a few of us might all go out for dinner. Although I did push for cards at my house or one of my friends since I already have refreshments and would just need chips.
Plus I have decided to get my DS a desk for his room and an inexpensive lamp. This was not a planned purchase but I will keep it very inexpensive. He can use a kitchen chair as we have a mixed bag of chairs and extra. He just really needs his own place to study/do homework as he is in a higher grade now and will have more expectations on him. It will be worth the money and it will not be millions.
So it will likely not be as frugal as I had hoped but could be worse.
We don't have much choice but to be frugal this weekend, as we're waiting on some pay that has been somewhat delayed. BUT it's still shaping up to be fun and interesting! ;)
SATURDAY - Free knife sharpening event at Chef Central. There will be free classes and likely lots of food samples. :) Plus, we can bring two knives in to be sharpened for free. Not thrilling, but it gets us out of the house! TOTAL COST: $0
SUNDAY - We have a 3-year-old's birthday with family at an aquarium. It's on Long Island, so we've got gas and tolls to deal with but they're already accounted and paid for. We'll have all day free at the aquarium in addition to the actual party (it will be DD's first time at an aquarium - fun!), and we've got the gift covered with what's remaining on a ToysRUs gift card (which we got free from our debit card rewards points). Depending on timing, we may even stay for dinner at my mom's before heading back home. TOTAL COST: $30 (gas & tolls)
We're covered for groceries/meals planned through the weekend. WHEW!
I expect my weekend to be frugal. I do go to yard sales on Sat morn, but only get things that are on my list of "things we need but not that desperate" list. Mostly we will be re-organizing furniture and things in the house and hopefully lots of de-cluttering.
I'll be working tomorrow, followed by shopping - for paint (for the basement), for school clothes (early b-day gift for DGD), and for groceries.
Sunday, I'll be dropping off the clothes and will need to put gas in the car to do that, but it's possible that I'll be able to use DH's gas allowance for that.
Should be frugal/no-spend for me. Just me and the baby this weekend... we went swimming today and have been hanging out at home so not much. I may take her for ice cream tonight, that'll be about $10 and I may order a movie on DirecTV , another $5.
Nothing on the docket tomorrow except football and we already have snacks and what-not. Should be good :)
Saturday, I'll be arm candy for my fiance as we go to his cousin's wedding.

Hoping its frugal, but I'm not optimistic.
I have to go to Target tomorrow and pick up Madison's baby bottles finally.

It it my birthday weekend, and we had leftover pizza tonight with a bit of ice cream at home.
I'm guessing I'll be somewhere in between.
