Dh was supposed to work at his part time job today, but they called to say they weren't busy enough. I was really hoping for that money, but oh well! Last time he worked on a Wednesday and Thursday, he brought home an extra $357 dollars! He might get to work next Friday. We'll see.
A guy is coming today to look at our broken washing machine. It's going to cost $79 dollars for him to diagnose it, but if we choose to have their company fix it, then that money will go towards that. I hope it's an easy fix! I don't know! And I'm confused about whether or not I should have it fixed or find a used one. This is an $1800 dollar machine that is only 5 years old. I really, really want to have it fixed because I would hate to feel like I wasted that much money on a piece of crap washer. But at the same time, my neighbor got a used stackable washer for $100 bucks! But I really need a large washer. I have a 5 person family. A regular, unefficient stackable washer really wouldn't do the job that I need a washer to do. It may cost me more in energy to use it than to just go to the laundry-mat! I currently have to do 2 loads a day with my regular size washer. If I had a small washer, maybe I'd have to do 3 or 4!
I'll post in a little while what he tells me. He's on his way right now.
Oh- I talked to my husband about having just one car and we talked about many issues. How would we get our kids to the few sports that they do, or what would happen this winter when our oldest son does his play which is very intensive. Also, having one car would really be an adjustment for next summer when the kids are out of school. We did agree though that we don't need a car for the next 5 months. It is definitely something that we will have to put a lot of thought into. There are so many positives and negatives to consider. I'm still not convinced that we definitely need 2 cars, but there are so many things we would have to change in our lives in order to make that happen.

I'll keep my fingers crossed on the washing machine repairs.
