Hmm, DH mentioned a date night tonight, but I don't see him being home early enough, so we will see.

My kids are with friends tonight. The older one is at a cook out(I asked and was told to bring absolutely nothing!) and the other boy is having a friend over. They are really good at just playing. Saturday maybe some groceries(80) and a trip into the city to see my Grandpa(20 on gas) I am super excited to see him as its been two years, he will be 95 in March!! I bought the frames yesterday(25 for 5 frames but they look nice) for Christmas presents I am giving all family for Christmas this year so I won't have to pay for shipping for his now, I can just give it to him tomorrow. I have lots of wrapping left over from previous years. Sunday I have to work a little bit so the kids can just hang out and do home work, play in the garden etc. Not too expensive except groceries but of course that is planned.

Oh and I also bought some yarn to crochet a baby blanket for a gift in January but I know I need to start working on it(23). I do enjoy it as well and will keep me busy from spending other money LOL! Maybe tonight??

I have budgeted about $130 for grocery. No, I don't eat that much myself, but I am starting to plan and stock up for holiday baking and will order some hard to get items ahead of time.

I have been out of town for work all week. The allowance for meals is about $200, I only spent maybe $70, so the $130 is kind of like "free money".

Other than that, maybe I will take the car to the car wash, but that's already paid for. Last Christmas they had a special and I bought a book of 20 car washes. (I live in a loft and cannot wash cars at home).

I'm starting driver's-ed tomorrow, so I need to make my first $300 payment.

Other than that, all I need to spend is some grocery money.

Oh, I would love to work in my garden, or even clean my house, but I am not home yet another weekend (almost 4 months away on weekends now.)

I am at my mom's this weekend as my dad is with DH, my brother and the boys for a hunting trip up at our cabin.

Marie,

(((Hugs))). Apologies in advance if I am out of line, but you really need some rest. A few ladies here suggested to get some hired help with cleaning and what not. Yes, it will slow down the debt payment, but this is a very stressful time and you need to take care of yourself. I do know. however, sometimes it takes time to find good help and maybe you don't have the time and energy to interview/screen house cleaning people.

Could you delegate more to your kids? I know you want them to focus on their studies, sports, and other activities. However, they are old enough to understand there is a family emergency going on (grandmother sick, mother is stressed out and in the verge of starting a new business). I just feel it is so unfair that the "boys" are out hunting and having fun and you are slaving away.

Perhaps I am just lucky, the men in my life are quite "domestic". Once I was sick and my brother did my ironing. SO cooked and did dishes when we rented a vacation condo without a dishwasher. He said he did not want me to do dishes and "ruin my hands and nails".

If I am being blunt (as I usually am, LOL), it is because I worry about you. I have been through a similar period a year a go when I was working a crazy schedule (on call for 24/7 one week per month) and going to school, taking nine credit hours per term, and sitting on the board of two non-profits. Within a six month period both my father and SO were in ICU. I lived through that, but it took almost a year to recover from that ordeal. One day I was so tired that I fell asleep in front of the red-light (fortunately the car was not moving).

Do take care of yourself.
