I saved a bundle on ground chuck! Got about 12 lbs worth for $1.68/lb. It's closer to $5/lb at the grocery store but I usually pay $2.99/lb at the butcher (for much better meat!) So $1.68/lb is still right close to half price. I stocked up!

Oooh, chili sounds good! We went out yesterday on the boat and came back late and the air temp was cool after dark. I had a pot of homemade cream of potato soup with country ham and bacon in it and some potato rolls with country ham waiting. Not exactly budget-friendly, but YUM.

Chili ... mmmmm! Thanks for the insta-craving!

You ladies are making me hungry LOL! It's the season for comfort food...mmmmmmm. And what an incredible deal for the meat!

Me, I wrangled another $10 in pocket change to flake to my e-fund. That's all I can come up with. No act too small, though, right? :)

Mine is really small....I bought lunch yesterday and instead of buying a drink, I got a soda out of the machine at the office for 50 cents.

I found a plumber who will install my shower fixtures for $50 dollars. This includes welding on a new piece for the shower knob and cutting out a piece of my wall to find the pipes! He's a friend of my neighbors.

Well I started out the month which for me the 15th. And of course there is 5 weeks again in this month for us. Bad news. So I had to cut down on living money by 25.00

I blew out a big toe on the 28th of last month. So I am back in a wheelchair and on bed rest most of the time. Going twice a week to the foot doctor. That is double the co-pays.

I have spent a total of 40.00 on candles and stuff from QVC and I paid 10.00 in cold hard cash for a game on the computer. I am bored out of my mind this time more then last time with this bed rest so I needed some entertainment.

Ok this is what I have spent.

This is what we saved. 64.00 for taxes. I had a 150.00 put back for saving but I have had to spend 50.00 of that for co-pays for extra doctor bills.

I had 150.00 put away for snowflaking that I didn't feel like fooling with the money so I didn't send it off. So I had to have my dentist come to the house. And I gave her 50.00 of that snowfake money on my bill. Then I got a check from CITI for 0 percent until March of next year and I gave her a 500 dollar check from that So she is paid off for all the dental work One less bill there to worry about paying. I owe CITI a little balance. I paid off everything I had charged to USBANK So next month they get nothing.

We got a free movie from blockbusters. " The Ghost of girlfriends pass. " That saved us 5.49

Next month I get my first SS check 590.00 that will help I promise myself and all that is reading this I am going to do better in the snowflake department starting next month.

Oh all the Christmas presents are bought and paid for except for Raymond.

Got what I got on sale when Lane Bryant catalog went out of business. 70% off.

LOL ... Norma, I'm glad you won't be making Armpit Chili with your ground chuck!

As for me, I've been very good about brown-bagging both my breakfast and lunch at work in the past few days.

I paid a total of $22.98 for a bottle of my shampoo and a hair cut (including tip) by going on a Tuesday. They have a special on hair cuts on Tuesdays to try and bring in more business.

I always bring my lunch, I don't really have a choice as there are no restaurants near by. However, there is one opening up down the street so this might be a challenge for me NOT to order. I do want to support them a little though and those mornings that are super rushed or the bf has yet again won the left over war this may be an option LOL!

I made chocolate chip zuchinni(from my ending garden) muffins yesterday and I froze some of them. They can go in lunches and I can buy less processed snack foods for everyone. They turned out really good so I was happy because I had never made them before. I will pop them in the lunch bags frozen in the morning and they will be ready to eat by lunch time. I think it is a healthly option and I hope I saved money, but I couldn't calculate what that would be.

I wanted two new lipsticks from Avon and did not buy them!

I have to do inventory at my store tomorrow night and decided to feed my staff a lasagna I am making tonight instead of getting pizza. I don't know if I will save any money because it seems lasagna is expensive to make but I was kinda hoping I might have some left overs for a lunch for myself and bf. If it doesn't happen that is ok, but the bf will be really sad!!

I know it is not much but I bought some of those cloth grocery bags awhile ago and now I don't have to buy the plastic ones when I grocery shop so I think they have paid off by now. It is better for the environment and I use them for other things as well like a lunch bag for me for I can put my plastic containers in it and my coffee cup.

Can't think of anything else right now...
