Did I pay too much?

I had a plumber come to my house today to replace the fixtures in my tub. 3 years ago, our cheap shower knob broke and we've been living with a wrench to turn on our water for years now. I went to home depot right after it happened and bought a beautiful Moen replacement for not only the water knob, but the spout and the shower (cost me a little over $100). Then I realized that I'd have to have a plumber come in, put a hole in my wall and weld on a completely new system in order for the knob to fit. I always figured it'd be wicked expensive so I never got it done. Well, my neighbor's boyfriend is a plumber. He's out of work and he came over and said he'd do it for me for $50 dollars and that it would only take him an hour to do. I said 'Sure'! Then I started feeling like $50 dollars is too cheap, especially since he has a family and he's out of work, so today he came over and it took him an hour and a half, plus he bought some parts ($23) and I decided to pay him $125 dollars instead. I don't feel bad about paying him that much. I took it out of my E fund because having a broken shower knob, especially when it happened, was something of a disaster! I just wanted to know if having a plumber come over for an hour and a half was worth $125 dollars? I guess the total cost of parts and labor was $225. But I love it and I'm glad I got it done and that I was able to help somebody out.

My DH is a self-employed plumber (times are really slow) and he is inexpensive around here for his labor rates.
No, I don't think so at all.
