The Best Thing You Ever.......

I made a soup last night out of left over roast beef for supper last night. It is probably the tastiest thing I have ever made. It was awesome!! Patting myself on the back. I will be eating it for lunch for the next two days and so will bf. I used crushed tomatoes, beef broth and water and beef consume, onions, tomatoes, carrots, a few peppers, a couple potatoes, spices and two small handfuls of macaroni. It was so yummy on a fall day. I used some left over hamburger buns I had in the fridge that were about to be thrown out. I put a little butter and garlic salt on them and toasted them. My bf was super impressed. It did not cost a lot of money either. Maybe $10. And that would be for four or five meals, a supper and lunches.

What have you made that was the best thing ever for cheap.

Kate keep trying! It might take a bit of investment in food that doesn't turn out at the beginning but you will get the hang of it.

And I'm so jealous of you and the Duke for buying fresh cheese and fruit and veges everyday. Oh that sounds delightful!

My favourite is always chicken soup with left over chicken from meals. I freeze them in the freezer until I have a good amount and then I make a huge batch of soup.

Mmmm so tasty.

Kate, keep trying! Practice makes perfect!!

Most crock pot meals I make fit into this catergory. Fast, good and cheap!

My favorite is Ranch chicken.

4 boneless chicken breasts
red potatoes - cut into 1/2's or 1/4's
1/2 packet ranch seasoning (like ranch dressing seasoning)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/4 cup sour cream

Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

Because my DH has a huge appetite I usually double the recipe. It is SO good and so easy.
