Our very expensive surprise

In August of 2007, the day after having our fifth and final child, I had a tubal ligation. We kind of figured that settled it, but last week - just 25 months after the surgery - we found out that we are expecting baby #6! We had to make sure it wasn't ectopic and then wanted to wait for a heartbeat. I had an ultrasound last night and it was still too early for the heartbeat but there's a fetal pole and development looks perfectly normal. Looks like #6 is on the way! DH and I can't do anything but laugh. =c)
We have insurance but I'll have the maternity copay to contend with, and then all the expenses that follow with having another baby. WOW! But one of my clients has a store that sells thousands of baby items and he told me I could have anything I needed at cost (which is a savings of about 60% - I can see the numbers when I working in their admin system). I've gotten rid of some of the bigger, bulkier items so that's so awesome of him.
We are just amazed and so, so blessed!

((((Norma)))) - wow, hon!
You know, one of the first things I thought about was the house, LOL. One room was huge and I was going to put up a wall for indoor storage to make it smaller and more equal to the rest but I guess now I'll leave that part out and just let two of them share. We want to build one more house after the one in 2011 - on water so we can have a 40-ft boat without having to put it in a marina - and those plans will fit the extra bedroom just fine. In fact, I was looking at them last month thinking it had too much room upstairs. LOL. Anyway, it's fine. I like my house plans too much to worry about it, but yes, it will be a tad bigger. I just lost my storage though! (I will NOT use an attic).
This kid is a troublemaker already, LOL!

Thank you, Cindylee! We joked about having everything removed this time around, LOL. I'd sure love to know how it happened myself! I know it's possible - there's a 1.4% the first ten years - but what gets me is that we never had a surprise baby before. I had no idea we'd been THAT careful, but we had to have been if we're THIS fertile!
