Our very expensive surprise

In August of 2007, the day after having our fifth and final child, I had a tubal ligation. We kind of figured that settled it, but last week - just 25 months after the surgery - we found out that we are expecting baby #6! We had to make sure it wasn't ectopic and then wanted to wait for a heartbeat. I had an ultrasound last night and it was still too early for the heartbeat but there's a fetal pole and development looks perfectly normal. Looks like #6 is on the way! DH and I can't do anything but laugh. =c)

We have insurance but I'll have the maternity copay to contend with, and then all the expenses that follow with having another baby. WOW! But one of my clients has a store that sells thousands of baby items and he told me I could have anything I needed at cost (which is a savings of about 60% - I can see the numbers when I working in their admin system). I've gotten rid of some of the bigger, bulkier items so that's so awesome of him.

We are just amazed and so, so blessed!

Duke, I hereby vow to keep the blog up until I'm giving away money in the streets - and longer still. That would be FUN to write about! =c) Thanks for reading - that's awesome of you! You're too sweet.

We will probably kill each other over names. We never had much trouble until #5. We always kept the name left over from the kid before (when we had a girl, we still had the boy name) and just replaced the name we used with another for that gender. When we got to #5 we had our leftover boy name and nothing for a girl. And we could NOT agree on ANYTHING. Well, I did like the name we finally agreed on for a girl, but when we didn't have to use it for one of our kids since we had a boy and we were DONE, I used it in my first novel as the main character. So now I don't WANT to use it, which puts us back at square one.

SIGH.

(((Thanks!)))

It's sure hard to "argue" with, LOL. Even DH, who wouldn't even JOKE about the idea of #6, is just throwing his hands up and grinning. And shaking his head. LOL. I think he's resigned himself to even more than six since we managed to overcome "missing parts" as he put it.

Make sure you tell those families how fab they are. When half the world looks at you like you're some sort of freak and acts openly hostile, it's REALLY nice to hear those compliments! I know they'd appreciate it!
