End of Year Goals

I just thought I would see how everyone is making out and what the goals for the end of the year are.
Mine are pretty simple.
1) Pay off the portion of the appliances that will start to accumulate interest in April: This means another $470 to go! I have already paid off $530 and should be able to make this goal with the extra money coming in from my higher paychecks. I've already budgeted $75 per paycheck so this alone will bring me close
2) Get through Christmas with limited funds spent (and everything in cash!). Every year I swear I'm cutting down and every year its the same thing! I am

1. Get sinking funds for 2010 set aside by the end of November. I still need $1300.
2. Start new budget in December (for the payment of January's bills) which will keep us one year ahead on sinking funds, estimated taxes and car insurance.
3. Stay one month ahead on the paying off all bills and reserving of cash for groceries and gasoline.
4. Save $540 for ds for the purchase of books for college.

1. Get our final c/c down to oweing only $400. Right now we owe $1,200 and I'd like to pay at least $400 in Nov & Dec on the card. However, I need to make sure we have enough Christmas cash so I might only put $300 on the c/c in Nov. I don't want us short money for the holidays. We'll see. I am so anxious to get rid of this c/c since its such a low balance!!! Finally.
2. Start saving for upcoming expenses in the new year. In Feb our car insurance is due - $600. I could pay that monthly but I prefer to do it in one lump sum. Also, my DD's schooling will be due for next year - Sept 2010. We have to pay it in Feb but she doesnt' start until Sept. That will be $850. Again - could pay in chunks but would prefer to pay it in one lump sum.
Goals for 2009-Updated 10-20-09
My goals include :
1.
Kate
Bex -
Not to have anything turned off or taken away? LOL. Let's see, my real goals (not to discount those) are to top 20k in snowflakes (which will happen with my self-imposed forced flake) and to TRY to catch everything up. We will only pay cash for Christmas or we just won't buy it; a lot of years DH and I get each other very little because of that, but we're both happy to know there will be NO bills.
My fun, slightly-helpful-for-the-finances goal is to finish my second novel. It's a romantic suspense so I'm having LOADS of fun with it. I know I'll probably sleep my way through the first trimester but I'm holding out hope that I'll still meet my goal. I want to finish #2 (1/3 finished) and #3 (already outlined) before the baby arrives. That will feel amazing, and with any luck they'll bring in some money!
I also want to keep digging through those boxes (the ones most people would have in the attic) that I'm helping my mom with. I'm finding lots of stuff to ebay in there, which is giving us a fairly steady income. It's paying for about half our groceries, which is pretty cool if you ask me!
FIVE KIDS.
Let's see.

Oh my flipper friend. I keep changing my goals!! I just thought of another option today for my current goal, but mostly it is because I am anxious to get on my with my next goal! LOL!
These things I do know for sure:
*I don't want the bank calling me to tell me I am over on my business credit line. I'll do what I have to, to stop that!
*I need to stress less than I do, I think I am killing myself slowly with all the numbers floating around in my head.
*cash Christmas(not doing anything crazy, should be about $300 total)
*Pay corporate taxes what ever they are.
There is a lot more I want to do but I am so up in the air right now. I am playing wait and see.
At this point I have just a few small goals til the end of the year:
1. Pay cash for christmas (which is completely doable unless I go way overboard);
2. Get Efund back up to $1000 ($1500 would be idealistic); and
3. Get DH to put in the a/c and heat pump finally and be done with it, thus saving us on electric bills going forward.
