Woot woot! I got the job!!

I start next week! Its a Saturday job and pays $100 a day. The best part is that she is willing to teach me all the grooming tricks so that I can do it myself eventually!! And during the pre-Christmas rush its so busy in there that she is open 7 days a week and asked if I could work Sundays too!!! So excited!

On a not so good note I already spend the first paycheck, ugh. BF made an attempt to help more around the house god love him. He put all my bras in the wash and dryer. Sadly, I have very expensive bras because I am an odd size. Now they are all bent :( I tried one on and it bends outward so you can see the whole thing under my shirt. So off I went to the only store in town that carries my size (that is reasonably priced . . . .I could go to one of those custom places, but they're $100 a bra.) They had sale which helped so I ended up with 4 bras for $40. Why is being a woman so expensive???

Congrats on the job!! Thats wonderful :).

And I totally hear ya on the bra thing, 4 for $40 is a great deal - and I think its sweet that he tried to help - if I came home to my fiance doing laundry I would faint!

Congrats on the job! I certainly understand that excitement and it is so deserved: always earned.

As for the bras, $10/bra?!? That's an amazing price! I can get a bra for that but it would be ill-fitting or unsupportive (those sports bras at Walmart). I'm an odd-size too (big chest, small breasts) and I have to go to unusual ends to get bras, making them expensive. I'll search dept. stores often because on rare occasion they actually have my size in their generic order and buy whenever I just see they have one. From that, I find bras in Canada to be from $20-$60 (Wonderbra and above) for just plain bras (who has money for actual lingerie?)

The bra-find also seems worthy of congratulations ;)

Thanks all. I'm embarrassed to say it was a typo . . . the bras were actually $80 for 4 *blush*. But I guess thats still pretty good and lord knows I needed them.

I can't wait to start working this job and put a HUGE dent in this debt! Yay!

80 for 4 of them is still pretty good. I need to do laundry so bad I don't even know if I have clean undies for tomorrow! Will likely spend the whole day doing laundry on my day off. 12hour shifts suck. To busy getting a whole days worth of food together to throw in a load in the morning and don't want to wake up bf and too tired at night to throw in a load. BF has so much to do I would feel guilty asking him to take care of a load.

That is awesome you got that job! And doing something you enjoy as well as learning. This is a win/win Bex!!
