hey everyone, TGIF!

So, what's up for the weekend? Anything planned to spend some cash on?

In my neck of the woods, the northeast, craft fairs & festivals are a big thing this time of year. Do you go to any of these as part of your holiday shopping? Do you find what you are looking for? Maybe a unique, handmade gift for that special someone? Or do you think these places

Will be going to the big craft show of the season, don't expect to spend much though, mostly going to be able to have dgd have her photo done with Santa.
There are a couple of booths that I purchase my Christmas foods from, special salad dressings and some pickled garlic, that I can only get at this time of year.

Have a great weekend all.

This weekend has done a complete 360 on me. I had a hotel booked for one night, to attend a concert 3 hours away. The concert has been postponed. So, I had planned money for gas, hotel, food. So, no plans now :( Oh well, whaddya gonna do. Now, I can be more frugal & spend some quality time at home.

I do love craft fairs, and enjoy making a girls day out of it with some friends. I have been able to find those great one of a kind gifts for some people on a couple occasions. But, overall, some of the items are so expensive, but beautiful. But, I just won't buy them.

A mixed bag here. Today I did mad grocery shopping and stocking up on supplies for the house (think TP, dish detergeant, garbage bags etc). All in all I spent $260!!! The goods news is $160 came out of our grocery money. $25 is toward a gift and the rest is out of the house fund. It was a lot higher this week because I bought stuff to make lasagna (I made two HUGE ones tonight!) meatloat (going to make two huge ones Sunday) and Butternut Squash Soup. All of this will be frozen for meals for lunches and dinners.

I work all day Saturday so no spending for me!

Sunday I am taking BF out for his birthday dinner. I already have the money set aside from my change jar! I was able to save $100 by collecting change for the last few months!

So all in all a kind of spendy weekend planned, but otherwise good!

A more expensive week-end than usual for us. Last night I went to visit some friends. It was potluck. I spent about $15 on my recipe. Today we going to buy blinds for my daughter's room. They are $85.00. Tonight DH and I are celebrating out anniversary. We age going out for dinner, and then we will see. I have a few hundred set aside but I hope not to use it all. On the other hand, I really want a nice night out without worrying about the money. We have been very careful lately, and we are making good progress, so it's time to treat ourselves.
