Our co-pays went up to the point we can't afford to use my DH's insurance for drugs. We use ontario diabilities drug card with no co-pays because of this.

Kate I think what she is referring to is the Ontario Drug Benefit. Your daughter would be eligible is she is receiving social assistance or Ontario Disability Support Program Assistance.

Here is a link:

There is also Trillium, but that is a catastrophic drug program meaning it doesn't kick in until you've spent a certain percentage of your income. You have to apply for trillium and list your household income and they will tell you what your deductible is.

Hope this helps !

If you have a disability in ontario you can get help with financial/medical. You can just get the drug card though though the trillum program if you have high drug costs for any medical issues and it's easier to get then on disability as you don't have to go by income :http://www.health.gov.on.ca/english/public/pub/drugs/trillium.html
