What were his reasons for not wanting you to have a job. Was it only because the pay wasn't enough and the hours were in the evening? What exactly does he want you to do for a job? Have you had a job in the past? You are in a tough spot, but you're right...some money is better than no money!

Why do you need his permission to have a job?

We can only surmise what your husband's issues are with your working, the best thing is to quietly talk it out.

I would have to agree with some of the PP's. What is his logic exactly? Is there a reason other then its not enough

Hugs to you.

Two things:

1. Please look into your town health department. You don't need a doctors visit to get your child's shots. You can go to the health clinic and pay a small fee (at mine it is $12 / shot). When my insurance maxed out for the year last year for my daughters shots I knew if I let my doctor do them I would get charged $150/shot and if I let the health clinic do it I would pay $12. Please look into this. It is as cheap as you are going to find and it will keep your child immunized.

2. I look at your getting a job this way. How much money did you make yesterday? $0. How much money COULD you make at this Macy's job? SOMETHING. Your DH needs to do the math. Something is better then nothing. Nuff said. Congrats on the job.

Decisions like these are always tough because they involve conflict.
