sold the car!

Thanks so much for the advice. I sold my father-in-law's car yesterday. After the car broker flaked on us I was really worried because I've never had any luck selling a car before. My car (another story entirely, totally upside down on a car that has cost me a fortune in repairs) had the engine light come on AGAIN and I of course panicked and took it into a repair shop. I got to talking with the owner and mentioned I had this older model buick that had belonged to my late father in law. He made one call to a friend of his who loves those big old cars. The guy's son came out, drove it around the block and came back and said he wanted it. I sold it for under blue book and it was mint condition so they got a deal but it is worth it to be done with it.

Next time I sell a car I might feel more confident and ask more money. I always under price things on craigslist and garage sales. When I am ready to sell something I want it gone. I'll use our share of the car sale money for Christmas.

I am like you - I just want rid of stuff so I offer a lower price. Glad the sale gave you confidence and Christmas money!!
