My 2 year old lost my phone...stressed!!

I am having one of those days. I had to go out to get a birthday present for this weekend and macy's was having a morning sale. I had a coupon to save $10 dollars so I went to the store and it was packed. People everywhere! And I have this huge jogging stroller so I was just in everyone's way. Plus, everyone was in the clearance section since the coupon was only good on Sale items. Then my 2 year old starts fussing and so I think of the bright idea of giving him my cell phone to look at. I kept looking at him and making sure he still had the phone but then he was quiet for a really long time and I finally noticed that he was asleep. But where was my phone? I checked everywhere, I looked every place I could think that I had gone. I asked the cashiers and went to the office. I left my name and number so we'll see if anyone turns it in. I hate it when this happens. If it is lost, then I'll have to find another one somehow and I'm not up for a replacement yet. I'll try craigslist or freecycle but then I'll have to put in everyone's phone number again! What a pain!

Abby, I am so sorry he lost your phone, that stinks.

If it's a contract cell phone (not a pay as you go) you need to also call to report the phone lost.

Oh Abby that is terrible news. I know that sinking feeling when you lose something that is important. I hope it turns up!
Hopefully someone finds it and you get your phone back soon, then maybe it can be a funny story to remind your tot of when they get older. We'll be reminding our middle son of the time last month when we couldn't find our only working house phone for days until nanny called from the beach 10 hours away, and said she found it in her purse, apparently Nickolas put it there - guess he wanted her to call! We didn't have a house phone for more than two weeks, boy was it peaceful! Anyway good luck to you, and take heart we all give in to that urge to pacify sometimes, they call it survival instincts, lol.

Abbie did you have verizon?
When I lost mine I had them transfer everything over to an older phone, cost me $25 transfer fee though. Hope you find it before you have to do that though.

If you just need a temporary phone till you can get a good replacement. Ask all your friends and look for older models on craigslist or ebay. If you just need to make calls etc you can probably get something really cheap. AT&T might charge you an activation fee but if you've been a customer for awhile there might be a way to waive it.
But I hope someone finds it within the next few days.
I once lost a phone so after a few days I went and bought a new one. Unfortunately I lost that one too. Right after I lost the second one someone called me saying they had my phone. It turned out they had the first one and not the second one. And I had already thrown out the charger and everything for the first one so it was useless. I kinda wondered how long the store that found it had, had it before someone thought to call me. Cause it was the store I last remember having it at.
Good Luck
