Well we all always knew there were two meanings we always used for the Christmas holiday.

Even though I have most of my shopping done I am not feeling very Christmasy yet. Maybe it is the fact that there is no snow on the ground yet. If I didn't have kids I might just crawl into a hole this year and do the bare minimum. I know my money could spent better else where. Maybe after a Christmas party next week I will feel better and try to get my bf to put up a tree so we can decorate it. I don't do much in the way of religion but I really am happy to have my family happy and healthy this year and that is what I will try to focus on as well as a cash Christmas. Things were definitely scaled back this year but it will be worth it. I do get a little disgusted at the shopping volumes out there and how crazy people get. That is why I shop early so I don't have to see it.

I agree focus needs to be more about family and what you believe in. I also believe people need to get some rest to gear up for another busy year.

Good post.
