I am having a good day (see previous post). And.....after watching this, I am still having a good day but OH MY WORD!

I just watched the latest "Til debt do us Part" and I am sick to my stomach. It was about Stephanie and Sam. That Guy's behavior is just like my ex husbands. We were not behind on the mortgage or utilities but it was just about that bad.If I had stayed longer, it might have been(we even had the projector!! and all the toys and TVs) He spoke to me like that and made me feel horrible. And at the end he said he was never wrong! WOW. I am scared to think about how many couples there are out there like this? And not just the men but it could be a woman too, easily! So disrespectful to each other, and manipulative to get what they want.

I am so thankful my ex and I get along much better now. We don't have to communicate about finances anymore. I also shut down like Stephanie when we fought. I am so glad I have grown, and learned how to do finances on my own and am doing so much better.

And my BF is awesome and the complete opposite!

Still having a good day. I won't let anyone take that away from me!

I did not see the episode. However, I know what you mean. I had an ex-boyfriend who had no respect for me. Thankfully, my Mom was able to talk some sense into me before I got too far in. When I think about that relationship, I shudder.
My husband and I are often not on the same page when it comes to finances. He is more comfortable having debt than I am. However, we have been able to come to agreements so that we are both comfortable. We are able to see where the other person is coming from and we have realized that we do balance each other out. Through it all, we have respected each other and been careful to make sure we are not hurting each others feelings.
I hate to see situations where married couples do not respect each other. I can't imagine living like that.

I missed the first 3/4's of that episode, but couldn't believe that he said that at the end. As soon as I have a spare 1/2 hour I will go online and catch up on it. I don't think Gail has ever ever not given at least $1,000 to people.
