Sigh. It happened last night. I was telling him about a friend of mine who had lived with her now DH, moved out but continued dating and then moved in together again a few years later when they were ready so there was hope for us. To which he replied, "I don't think so".

So that was the end of it. I don't want to be with someone who doesn't want to be with me. He moves out tomorrow. I am feeling

May I be the first to say I am sorry. But in all my years there is one thing I have learned You can not make a person love you It has to come freely and you never know who will love you sometimes.. I was "going steady" that is what they called it in my day and later engaged to a man off and on for two years. We tried I think we both did but for one reason or another we could not make it work. I broke up with him the week before Valentines day. A couple of my girlfriends felt sorry for me and gave Raymond my phone number. He called and we talked for a couple of hours, Next night he came by the house for a couple of hours. I made a date with him for the next weekend then stood him up to go out with co-workers. When I got home he was sitting on my front steps. We went out that night because I felt bad for standing him up. The next

So sorry Bex. There really is no good time of year to break up. Just surround yourself with friends and family. At least you have the closure now and can move in the direction you want.

There is a guy out there for you. Have some fun dating and do not settle!

Hugs to you.

And FYI - this is not off topic. Our happiness is sometimes directly related to our finances.

I am sorry you are going through this. Be thankful for his honesty - sometimes its better to get an honest answer then have things linger another 6 months.

Oh, Bex - I'm so sorry! I guess it's better to have the clean break now, rather than string along for a long time not being sure...

Oh man! That really stinks! I'm sorry you are going through this in the middle of everything else that's going on in your life. I wish I could be there to share one of your 4 bottles of wine! But you're right...you don't want to waste your time with someone who isn't ready to commit completely to you.

((((Hugs)))). I am so sorry. I hope you can sell the SUV soon and treat yourself to a whole case of wine! (Not that I know how many bottles are in a case of wine, but it sounds good, LOL). And the new door opens for you now - scary that it's the unknown, but right for you when you're ready to walk through it. Again, I'm so sorry!
