I got a real good price will Allstate when I switched auto policies 8 months ago.
I'm digging Allstate. We actually added a vehicle when we switched (or switched as a result of the quote for adding a vehicle) and our rates went from $260 a month for four vehicles (three full coverage, one liability, three drivers) to less than $200 a month for five vehicles (added one liability). AND they really did send that good driver reward check! We cashed it, LOL, so that's awesome! I NEED to switch our homeowners insurance to them for the double discount (and I bet it will be cheaper, but assuming it is, anyway).
I shopped several companies and Allstate was not only the cheapest, but they gave equal-to or better-than coverage than the other companies we had quotes from. We switched from Liberty Mutual. Geico could meet the price but the coverage wasn't even close. Progressive had comparable coverage but they were more expensive. State Farm was through the roof in price. I don't remember any others off the top of my head. I'm in VA, FWIW.

If she comes with the policy I'll buy ten...(but not on credit)
I like the Hartford and since you are over 45, they also have an AARP plan that I use for my car insurance and it was the cheapest of anyone.
I'll agree on the AARP - Hartford insurance.
