What are your 2010 goals?

I'm asking because I'm trying to get myself much more accountable for putting things into Quicken so I have some REAL numbers to use next year.

I always start strong and then get sidetracked and at that point figure UGH...it's so far gone...etc...

I was just in there trying to get up-to-date with 2009 stuff and basically I only have from July - current.

I am still laughing at the bump up from last year. I think I lost the 10 pounds I wanted to then I gained 15 back. Oh dear!

Goals for 2010:

Business: Get my ticker to zero, completely pay off my land and building loan.

Personal: 1. Continue to pay off Bf's student loan(joint goal with BF)
2. Look into investments for Kid's education.
3. Be a little happier--really need to work on this!

I posted this and then thought "I bet there was a goal's thread last year somewhere, I wonder how everyone did?"

Sorry to hear an extra 5 pounds crept up (I don't even own a scale -- I so don't want to know...

someone asked the other day what my "short term / mid term / long term" goals were the other day and i broke down crying. i called my mom feeling all stressed out and she said how silly it is that some advisors put so much pressure on people...looking at retirement calculators, 8 month emergency funds, etc...they are a bit unreasonable for most.

i've changed my goals. this year i'm keeping it easy. i'm paying off my debt (which i think if i stay on the right track, it will be gone by May) and i want to start my $1,000 emergency fund (and any additions after that to my roth IRA).

I think sometimes you just have to step back and do just a small goal to start with.

I always have the "bigger" goals in my head but way in the back.

Notice mine this year was JUST to keep Quicken up to date.

Well our goals are pretty agressive for 2010 but a goal is about stretching, isn't it?

I am doing things a bit against the grain, but it helps me to

I took the time to go back and see what I posted last year.

Great post....

I want to do several things this year...but I will stick to financial goals...

1. I want to get my consumer debt down to 42k from current 51375

2. I want to get my personal retirement savings up to 63k from current 55k

3. I want to get my work retirement fund to 125k from current 113k

4. I want to get my mortgage down to 79k from current 87k (I hope my mortgage rate stays at 1.25%)

I'm also going to get a home equity line of credit (3.75 % currently as opposed to my cards that range from 1.9%-11.5%)...I'm very motivated and have no intention of running up credit for wants anymore.
