2010 is going to be a great year!!

Well, I finally took the time to do all of 2010's monthly budgets. (setting up what paychecks go where) and even budgeting in 3 birthdays, a summer vacation, and tag renewal on vehicles, we SHOULD make our last payment to a credit card (not out of debt completely, still owe on the car and Dhs grandmother's loan) on October 15!!

I know it's unrealistic to think everything will go according to budget, but even if the pay off date gets pushed back by $500 (this would only happen if i couldn't make as large of payments as I plan to earlier in the year) it will still be paid off in one extra month leaving us in perfect position for Christmas!! I can't wait until it's all off my shoulders!!

Anyone else accomplishing something huge in the next 12 months?

I love it! Telling your money where it should go. I would really reconsider that efund though. Going back wards if something comes up is not fun!

I will pay off my ticker this year. I am going to take my friend and bf out for dinner when that happens! A little reward for all my hard work and their continued support. Plus that is part of my goal to relax this year!

Good luck with your budget!

I forgot to write it, but I did decide to put $500 in the emergency fund. It's not the $1k I would like to put away, but hopefully I'll get more hours than I planned on (I plan on bare minimums for my work hours) and I can put more money away as my paychecks come in.

That's great that you'll get your ticker paid off!! That's got to be such a relief!!

I can't wait until my car payment and John's grandmother are paid off. I have no intention on getting another car payment either. Maybe I'll change my mind when I'm further out of debt, but I'm getting to the point where I'd rather have an older paid off car than a new one I have to pay another 4+ years on. We'd love to be able to buy a house, but there are too many goals for us to accomplish and our income needs to go up before I'm comfortable taking on a house! LOL!

Congrats on your 2010 goals!!

That's GREAT!!! I'd love to get to that point! Right now, DH and I have BARELY started a retirement savings, but I think that I'll be able up our % in October 2010 when we make our last payment to a cc. Unfortunately, we still will owe another $4k to his grandmother, but I will have paid off around $10k in a year on the other bills, so what's a measly $4k, right? =)

My biggest goal is to finally start saving for my 3 kids' college. My oldest is 6 right now, and I have 12 years to go, but college isn't getting any cheaper and I really hope he won't have to go through the debt struggles we are if I can be prepared to help. 18 years old is too young to go into debt, you know? If I can get our budget under control I can finally start planning for the future. I have big dreams! LOL!
