OK, I love the meaning of Christmas! And I love seeing the kids faces when they open their gifts, and I love getting a gift or too, of course! But I am getting so frustrated with the $$$.

I am on the same page as you are. It seems I think I am done and then another event pops up or we find one more thing to buy. I have my mortgage on auto withdrawl. That really helps me make sure the funds are there for when it comes out. Something to think about.

I am also at the same place you are right now. I start to get that resentful feeling about Christmas. I love the holiday and it's so much fun to be with family and to have that anticipation of gifts and food and fun, but the fact that every year I have to spend money I really need for something else on gifts...it's just hard! Every year it's this way because in October we have all my kids birthdays and in November we have to get our cars registered and inspected and then in December we have Christmas and then our timeshare taxes and maintenance fees are due at the beginning of the year. It's just a nightmare! I really really REALLY have to start a special savings just for all of these expenses for next year because I refuse to be caught with my pants down for another year in a row during this time of year! I'm going to work on calculating what I'll need for next year and I will diligently work on putting that away each week for the next year because this year has just been ridiculous!

Good to know I am not alone!! My first order of business when I have some time off is to head to the bank and open up a Christmas Club Account! I think I will try to do $75 or $100/month, and if I don't spend that much on Christmas I can surely use it somewhere else! I am totally done shopping except for a couple of stocking stuffers (toothbrush, maybe a $5 gift card to somewhere).

Hope everyone has a great Holiday!!
