Surprise money...

I go through money lulls. I have more money than I know what to do with and then I can't seem to scrape a spare penny together! Last week was a 'can't rub together pennies' week and now this next week is looking up. DH is picking up his $150 dollar check tomorrow from his part time job that we've been waiting for for weeks and I just found out that I'm singing for a funeral. I'm not actually sure if I'll get paid for the funeral, but last time I sang at a funeral, they paid me $100 dollars. It's sad that it's a funeral and the situation stinks because this woman went in for a routine pacemaker surgery and ended up with a punctured heart, collapsed lungs and in a coma! It was mostly the surgeons fault too! She was 78. But I'm very grateful when these opportunities to bring in extra money happen. Also, DH is working his other part-time job this Monday and Tuesday. He rakes in a LOT of money during the holidays at this job (delivering beer). He has the potential to make at least $200 in two days, possibly more. So there's at least $450 dollars that could possibly be on it's way to meeeeee right during the holidays!

Abbie,

My suggestion, put 50% in an efund and the other 50% to the rest of those little debts you've been trying to payoff.

Good for you Abbie. I agree with the others . . . put half in an efund so that when you have those tight situations there is something there that you can fall back on. Yay for unexpected money!
