Day 2 ends with a minor annoyance!

I signed my son up last week for the SSAT test. I tried to get a waiver from the school, but they said that I had to wait until the last day to see if anyone else needed it more than I did. I waited until the last day, called and called and no one got back to me so I finally decided to just spend the money and enroll him. A few hours after I enrolled him, the school calls and gives me the waiver! I was happy...but what a pain! I had to call the SSAT's and they told me to enroll him twice and then email them saying I wanted the other test canceled. I did that and no charges went through so I figured I was safe. But yes...tonight..the charges went through and my bank charged me 3 dollars to transfer money from savings. So tomorrow I'm going to have to call again and get this all straightened out. I really hope I can straighten it out because they made it clear when I called that they needed the cancellation email that day. I hope they got it!

I went grocery shopping today and got all of the goodies for Christmas Eve. Yum! I spent an hour today going through the sales flyer and gathering my coupons. I bought $220 dollars worth of groceries for $164. But that's still expensive!!!! I got home at 8:30 and I started putting the groceries away. My husband had just gotten home (he picked up the kids which was great!) and while I was putting things away he mentions that the kids got $25 dollars each from a family friend for Christmas. I replied "Good, I just spent a fortune on groceries" and he gets mad at me because I want to spend the kids money! I think that survival here is a little more important than our kids getting an extra $25 dollars to buy something with. I need that money!!! I think he was just really tired so that's probably why he bit my head off, but I haven't seen him in 2 days and then I see him for 5 minutes tonight before he goes to bed and he's cranky!

Tomorrow I'm focusing on music. I really hope I can pull together this Christmas Eve service.

Day 3 was better than I was expecting. DH got home from work early and I was able to go to Walmart to pick up the items I had shipped there. I cleaned and did more laundry. Went to rehearsal and it wasn't as bad as I feared. Tomorrow I have a lot more cleaning to do and I have to wrap the rest of the presents, plus get together our Christmas Eve Buffet. I'm nervous about the Christmas Eve Service, but all I can do is my best.

I hope you have a fantastic Christmas!!!

Hope the Christmas Eve service goes well Abbie!!! I want to hear all about it (but likely won't until after Dec 30 cause I'm headed to my mom's and she doesn't have internet!)
