I get so happy when I get good deals! I just went grocery shopping and I bought $205 dollars worth of groceries for $138...which is still 13 dollars over my grocery budget, but I'm working on that! I have developed a new system for my grocery shopping that is really working. I love it!
I found out that my store has their circular online and I can create a list from the items they have on sale and then print it out. Then I take my list of sale items and find coupons for them. I don't have a huge stash of coupons, although I'm working on it. I found a website that lets you search for coupons. It's called www.afullcup.com and it was kind of hard to understand at first but I found their searching feature and it's getting easier and easier. The first couple of weeks I did this, it took me hours to sort everything and find/cut coupons. Now it only takes me about an hour a week. It's so satisfying too!
Also - we are taking a family trip into Boston tomorrow. My son won 2 free tickets to the New England Aquarium and they expire tomorrow! So I decided to plan a trip so we wouldn't lose out on those tickets. I got a library pass for the Boston Children's Museum as well, so we're going to spend the day at museums for about $60 dollars including admission to both places for a family of 5, riding the T and parking. We're taking lunch and eating a huge breakfast to avoid eating in the city.
I love being able to be frugal and still do really cool things!

A very cool day planned and good shopping news. Such a positive post Abby. I love it! Enjoy!
Sounds like a great time in store for your family.
Hi Abbie,
I'm so happy for you!
Kate
That's awesome, Abby! I'm definitely going to check out that coupon website, too - it sounds great.
And what a terrific day of family fun you've got planned for so little money - great job!
