Let's put it all out there.

What is your debt total as of now? If you'd like - share how far you've come and what your totals were to start.

Otherwise, facing up to our debt is often the first step. Let's lay it all on the line and see if we can start the new year right !

My debt is at $750 for our final credit card. Hopefully to pay in full in January but I need to see how things look come payday.

I also owe $5,700 on my car. That is my next target. I will also have to pay $915 for my DD's preschool in March and about $600 to our car insurance in Feb.

I started with having a little over $28,000 in c/c debt about 19 months ago. And having about $15,000 owed on two different cars.

This is the first new year of my life where I can actually say : I am debt-free.

I don't own a home or a car, so I don't even have mortgage or car payments.

OUCH! OUCH! OUCH!!!!

OK, I will join in.

CC debt= $7000

IRS=$5300 right now I pay $220/mth but this should go away by mid 2010 (since they will also take my tax return! (HATE the IRS)

Loan=$4880 this is money that I got as a sign on bonus to work at a hospital but then they changed the job they were offering me so I didn't go to work there. This is a no interest loan with no time limit to pay it off. Thats why I am not focusing on this one YET.

Student Loans=$20,000 I pay for these monthly but the amount owed

$10772.35 is the magic number
that is my CC numbers and one loan

I want to chop it down by $3,000 this year minimally (last year I made it go down by $2,000 plus so I think this is an attainable goal)
