I've been having trouble posting...

I can post to other peoples threads, but when I start to write my own and then I go to preview it, it never loads and whatever I had written gets erased. SO annoying! This time though, I'm going to copy what I write so I won't lose it.

I've got a lot going on right now. My middle son, Isaiah, just had surgery for his adenoids yesterday. He's doing great. It doesn't even seem like he had surgery. He's up and bouncing around and there's nothing I can do to keep him down. He's playing wii right now and he's been watching movies. I'm thinking that my portion of the medical bill will be about $600 dollars with my deductible and my portion of the cost. I have $600 in my Flexible spending account, but I don't really want to spend that up in the beginning of the year because I can run through that in one year lickety split! I've already had about $100 dollars of medical costs already this year just in doctors copays and prescriptions!

Besides that, DH is on vacation this week so he could help me out after the surgery and my oldest has his SSAT test tomorrow for his private school application process. DH's second job called a few days ago and asked him to work today. Even though I really needed him home, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to make a little extra money. I left it up to him though. I didn't want to force him to work on his vacation just because extra money calls to me like the smell of brownies!

Tomorrow we have a party to go to. All of our friends usually get together after the holidays so we can celebrate as friends. I have to go to the store and buy some supplies which cuts into my grocery budget.

OOOOHhh, speaking of budgets. I'm actually starting one. I'm basing it on Gale's Vaz-Oxlades 'magic jar' system. Only I'm using fake quicken accounts to keep track. I can't stand working with cash. I always feel like I can't keep track. We'll see how it works out. I have a set amount each week that I can spend in 5 different categories. I'm going to try my darndest to stick to it! I know I can stick to a budget...I just know it!

Extra money calls to me like the smell of brownies. I love it!! Me too!

Glad to hear your little guy is recovering well.

Good luck with your new budget.
